Selana entered platform 9 and three quarters. She looked around there was noise everywhere. Owls hooting, carriers rattling, the buzz of voices. She wanted to get a good seat, so after a tearful goodbye, she climbed onto the Hogwarts express. She found an empty compartment and sat down. This was one of the compartments that had a window into another. Two boys sat down in the other. Both had black hair. One had glasses and the other lounged back in his seat. She saw them begin conversing. She saw a boy and girl come in and the boys began to argue. The girl led the boy away. They sat in the compartment behind her. One of the black-haired boys noticed her through the window and waved. Se blushed and waved tentatively back. He made a gesture for her to come sit in their compartment. She was about to get up when the girl she had seen earlier came in.
"Do you want to sit with us?" she asked.
Selana glanced through the window to the boy's compartment. They were watching her with a hopeful expression. She turned to the girl and nodded. The girl smiled as Selana got her trunk and folloed her into the other compartment.

Griffin looked about with awe yet he concealed it behind a smirking face. He stepped on to the train his excitement growing with each step. He had never before considered that there were so many more people just like him! Of course he knew when he had visited Diagon Alley but now that he was heading off to this school name Hogwarts it was so much more believable. He almost lost his composure wanting to express a squeal of excitement but he controlled it just letting his white hair turn bright blue for a moment. Ignoring any surprised looks he got from the other compartments he continued on walking with his blue hair. He smiled and waved to a few people who looked a little to intently. He really wanted to get into a compartment now!
It seemed someone was looking over him since as soon as he passed a compartment filled with a couple boys he found and empty one. He slipped in placing his trunk in front and sitting down with a sigh. Across from him the other compartment was filled.There were two girls and one guy. He took his gaze away from them and let out another sigh and had his hair turn back to white as he gained control over his emotions.

Jacklyn patrolled the isle on the train. She looked into the compartment windows every so often to check up on people. She waved Hecko to a few of her friends. Just as she turned to come back down the train she saw the other Prefect who was assigned to this car. A Slytherin boy who was slender and mean. He was quick and managed to get out of the way before someone could pumble him. They glared at each other as they passed. His upper lip raised in a snarl.
"Mudblood lover." he hissed.
Jacklyn's wand was out in seconds.
"Excuse me? I didn't catch that." she said sweetly.
He scowled at her and kpt patroling. A couple of first years had their nosed pressed to the window. They were gawking with wide eyes. One of them glanced down the Slytherin's way and his eyes got bigger. He yanked open the door.
"Look out miss!"
Jacklyn spun around.
"Expelliarmus!" she cried.
The Slytherin's wand soared back behind him. He was sputtering in fury.
"I would give you a detention." she said cooly.

Griff had his eyes closed and his ears weren't exactly alert and searching for sounds so when a small ruckus broke out a little while away from his compartment the only reaction he gave was to flinch away and practically run into the corner. He had pictured his dad on the day he found out he had to go to a wizardry school. That memory sent a shiver through his spine but he closed his mind from those memories and focused on the fact that he was free. With that he let his hair go loner symbolizing being "free" and turn a bright sapphire to match his eyes.

Selana sat down in the compartment. The other two first years introduced themselves as Lilly Potter and Severus Snape.
"I'm Selana Ringstone." she said.
A small blast of light issued from the hallway. The three children pressed their noses to the glass of the window to watch two fifth years fighting.

"Professor Slughorn will hear of this." spat the Slytherin.
"Yes he will. And I'm sure he will approve of attacking me unprovoked."

Griff smiled snuggling up a little more to his seat. The black seat gave a little under his wait and he shifted from the door letting his now long hair fall back. Her smiled comfortable and happy.

The three children began to talk avidly. Selana found herself being coaxed from her shyness by Lily. By the time a prefect entered the cabin and told them to put on their robes, the were playing Exploding Snap. (Selana had bought the cards thinking they were regular playing cards). They laughed at each other's hats and waited for the train to roll slowly to a stop.

A prefect opened the compartment that held Griffin and stifled laughter as he looked upon the sleeping form a Griff. The boy was on the ground his limbs sprawled in random directions and snoring at different intervals. The prefect kicked Griff's shoe lightly and was surprised to see the boy leap up his white hair standing up and his sapphire eyes glittering as they looked around cautiously. When Griff's eyes settled on the prefect he relaxed and sat down. The prefect was a little shocked at what had happened and he knew he would have a story to tell that girl prefect, Jacklyn. " You need to change into your robes." With that he left leaving Griff to change.

Jacklyn had just reported to the prefect's cabin when the same Slythering walked in. He had a wide grin on his face which couldn't be good.
"Guess what Jacklyn? There's another metamorphagus around. I think its your boyfriend!" with that he and the other Slytherin began cracking up.
"Oh, you mean the first year? Yes I met him on Diagon Alley. Tell me, are you and Pamit Taila still together?" she and the rest began to laugh. Pamit Taila was a very ugly girl who had a speech impediment.

Griff stumbled through the little clasp on his trunk the sleep encroaching back on his vision and movements. He finally got it done with the top shooting up as his clothes popped out. He grabbed the first robe he saw and took it out, trying his best not to disturb anything else in the trunk. With it out he slipped it over his clothes admiring himself for a moment and changing his hair so that it was close cut just covering his ears. "Perfect."

The train finally rolled to a stop and everyone got off.
"Interesting..." said Selena when whe saw the castle.

Griff walked along with everyone else his trunk bouncing around as the wheels ran over bumps and cracks. His sapphire eyes lit up as he saw the castle. Rising spires and cloaked in darkness, it cut a pretty good figure now and he wondered how it would look up close. He was drawn from his daydream when he cart bumped against a female( you) and one of the wheels probably pinched her skin. His face literally turned bright red as he gave a sheepish smile the normal color slowly coming back. " Sorry! Are you okay? I didn't see you!"

"OW!" Selana jumped when she was pinched. She rubbed the spot. "Yes I'm fine."
Lilyt looked as if she was about to tell him off for it. Severus stepped in.
"Come on Lily, lets find where we're supposed to go."
"Hold on a sec..." selana called after them. "You know that you were supposed to leave your things on the train right? They'll allready be at the castle after the feast."

Griff to see his blunder hadn't caused that much pain. He felt even dumber though when he learned he wasn't supposed to bring the dang trunk out. With a heavy sigh he turned around and ran back to the train throwing his stuff on not caring. With that done he ran back the way he came making sure he wouldn't get lost.

Slana took off after Lily and Severus after the boy left. She climbed into the same boat as them. It started raining.
"Great." she said.
